## Getting Started

Use this guide when you need to establish a new reliance agreement, either by using a digital template or by uploading a manually signed document.

## Step-by-Step Instructions


1. In the **Reliance agreements** tab, click the **+ New agreement** button.
2. In the pop-up window, search for the recipient (Conveyancers can search for Real Estate Agents and Real Estate Agents can search for conveyancing and Law firms).
   * Select them from the list to automatically pre-fill their details.  Alternatively, click **Enter manually** and complete the details.
3. Review **My firm’s details** in the section below.  These details will be entered on the agreement.
   * Click the **pencil** edit icon to update these details if necessary, as they will be included in the final agreement document.
4. Select your **Agreement method**:
   * choose the **InfoTrack reliance template** for an electronic signature workflow; or 
   * select **Upload manually** if you have a pre-existing signed agreement.
5. If using the template, click **Preview** to review the terms and contents of the document before sending.
6. If uploading a pre-existing signed agreement, select the **Agreement term** (6, 12, or 18 months). The system defaults to a 12-month term based on standard recommendations.

   
   1. Review the calculated **Expiry date**.
7.  Click **Confirm** to finalise and send or log the agreement.

## Common Questions

**Who created the digital reliance template?** The digital template was designed and created by Grant Thornton and has been reviewed by legal professionals for standardised use.

**Can real estate agents initiate agreements with lawyers?** Yes, both lawyers/conveyancers and real estate agents can search for each other in the system to initiate a new reliance agreement.

**What file types are supported for the manual upload of the Reliance Agreement?**  You can upload a PDF or DOCX file.

## Troubleshooting Tips

**My firm's details are incorrect on the agreement.** Before confirming the agreement, make sure to thoroughly review the "My firm's details" section. You can edit this information directly in the pop-up window so the correct details are passed onto the final agreement.
