# How to access and complete Training modules

## Summary

This guide explains how to access, start, and complete AML/CTF compliance training modules assigned to you in the AML/CTF Compliance Centre. Each module consists of a short training video or reading material followed by a multiple-choice quiz.

It also shows how to track what’s still outstanding under **To do**, review what you’ve finished under **Completed** (including completion dates), and download your completion certificate once all modules are complete.

Continuous education is key to preventing compliance errors. The Training section provides access to essential compliance modules (for example AUSTRAC standards and risk assessment topics) to help ensure staff understand their responsibilities and best practices for managing financial risk. Training modules may also include topics such as **Standard/Enhanced Customer Due Diligence** (procedures to follow when a higher level of customer scrutiny is required). Completing the curriculum ensures all staff are aligned on personnel due diligence, customer due diligence, reporting obligations, and program governance, and establishes a solid framework for operational risk management.

## Access the Training modules list

1. Navigate to the **Compliance Centre** dashboard and click the **Training** tab.
2. You’ll be taken to the Training page, where you will see a **To do** list of modules assigned to you that are yet to be completed.
3. Scroll through the list to find the training module you want to complete. Courses are organised into **Foundational training** (which displays your overall progress and a certificate download link once completed) and role-specific **Additional training**.
   * Each module includes a **title**, a brief **description** of its content, and a **Start** button to begin.
   * Modules cover different topics (including **introductory starter kits**, **entity risk assessments**, **AML/CTF Training**, **Initial and Enhanced Customer Due Diligence**, **AUSTRAC Reporting**, and **AML/CTF Program Development & Approval**). Role-specific additional training covers extended topics such as **Reliance providers under the AML/CTF Act**, **Governing Body and Senior Management obligations**, and **AML Compliance Officer obligations**.
4. Review the module lists:
   * **To do** shows modules you still need to complete (the number next to **To do** indicates how many are pending).
   * **Completed** shows modules you have finished. This section may also show each module’s **completion date**. You can review your training progress dynamically as modules are completed or paused.

## Complete a training module (video + quiz)

1. **Start a module:** In the training list (under **To do**), locate the module you wish to undertake and click the **Start** button (to the right of the module title).

2. **Review the content:** The module page will load with an embedded training video (generally 10–15 minutes long) or reading material. Press the play button on the embedded media player to watch the video, or review the reading material carefully before proceeding.
3. **Begin assessment:** After reviewing the content, click the green **Start quiz** button located below the player to proceed to the questions.
4. **Answer questions:**
   * Read the multiple-choice or true/false question displayed (there are usually 5 questions per module).
   * Select the best answer by ticking the appropriate circle.
   * Click **Next** to submit your answer and move to the next question.
   * You must answer all questions to complete the quiz.
   * If you select an incorrect answer, a notification banner will prompt you to try again. Re-evaluate the question and select the correct alternative to continue (you can correct mistakes and retry until all answers are correct).
5. **Complete the quiz:** Repeat the answering process for all questions in the series.
6. **Finish and submit:** After the final question, click **Finish** to submit your quiz.
7. **Confirmation:** If you pass the quiz, you will see a confirmation page displaying "Great work! You've completed a module".
8. **Return to your training list:** Click **Back to your training** on the congratulations screen to return to the main Training page.

## After you complete a module

* The completed module will automatically move from **To do** to the **Completed** section at the bottom of the Training page.
* The **Completed** section provides a record of what you’ve finished (each marked with a green checkmark, and may show the completion date for each module).

## Complete the full training program

1. Repeat the steps above for each module listed under **To do**.
2. Once all modules are finished, a **Congratulations!** banner will appear at the top of the **Training** tab confirming your training is complete.
3. You may also see a pop-up prompting you to get your certificate after the final module is completed.
4. A green **COMPLETE** status indicator will appear next to the corresponding staff member in the staff onboarding list. Progress is saved directly to each staff profile, providing an audit-ready training history for regulatory inspections.

## Download your completion certificate

After you complete all required modules, you can download a certificate for record-keeping, audits, or as proof of completion:

1. On the completion screen, click **Get your certificate** to view or print your training certificate.
2. Your certificate will be displayed (showing your name and date of completion). View and download/save it when prompted. You can also view your certificate later under the training achievements section.
